New Vision Television of Youngstown L.L.C. is pleased and proud to announce two first-place finishes in the annual Ohio Associated Press Broadcaster Awards. WKBN.COM won first place in the category of Best Web Site (Medium Market) and MYVALLEYSPORTS.COM won first place for the second consecutive year for Outstanding Sports Operation.
WKBN.COM won first place in the category of Best Web Site (Medium Market). In awarding the plaque, the judges commented:“We loved WKBN's core focus on news and the local community on the home page.
WKBN emphasized local coverage that was impressivelycomprehensive and substantive. We liked the use of the Editorial Choice on
the home page and the fact that each story led to other related stories that were recent and on-topic. Design and navigation were clear and easy to
follow. The sports page provided more thorough local coverage and we loved the giant photo on the front of the main sports page.”
Also achieving a first place finish for the second consecutive year is MyValleySports.com in the category of Outstanding Sports Operation. Judges commented: “Good variety of stories, good use of nats and music, enjoyed the various sports show platforms, good to see more than just the three big sports covered.”
The NVT owned and operated stations in the Youngstown market continue to lead the way in distributing news content to viewers and readers in the Mahoning and Shenango valleys.
